OHM'S LAW

Voltage equals current times resistance; V=IR. This holds true for any component that can be modeled as a resistor.

The independent DC voltage source, V1 is generating 10V across R1. According to Ohm's law, the current flowing through R1, a 10 ohm resistor is 1 Ampere.

V = IR
I = V/R
I = 10V/10ohm
I = 1A
