Mount Rushmore
We stopped at Mount Rushmore briefly, as it was well after dark. We did get to see Mt. Rushmore at night, which was neat. I only managed to take one photo of it on this trip.
Badlands National Park
After a visit to Wall Drug, in Wall, SD and replacing an air conditioner belt, we headed out to the Badlands. It rained off and on while
we were there, but it was a neat place to see. Here are a few photos of the Badlands:

Sunset in SD
After our trip to the Badlands, we coasted a bit farther east, having a nice dinner and view of the sunset at a rest stop in South Dakota. We ended up driving a lot more and ending the night in MN. Here's a few photos of the sunset:

Case Western Reserve, OH
After lunch with an old friend, we stopped by Case Western Reserve, where my dad went to school for his Bachelor's degree.

Headlands Beach State Park, OH
On two separate occasions, we went to Headlands Beach State Park near Mentor, OH. It is a little beach on Lake Erie. We did not go out into the water much, but we did build sand castles and sit and read.

Cleveland Indians Game
After Headlands Beach, we went to the Cleveland Indians game. They beat the Oakland A's, and the game was followed by an Independence Day fireworks show.

Niagara Falls, NY
After leaving Cleveland, we drove up to Buffalo and met up with Mike and Dawn, old friends of ours from school. We went to Niagara Falls, which I had never seen before. We drove out onto Goat Island and walked all over the place. Here are some photos of the falls:

Boston, MA
We spent a few days in the Boston area. Here are a few photos of the city of Boston:

Sail Boston, MA
While in Boston, there was an event called 'Sail Boston' where a bunch of tall ships sailed into the harbor for a few days. I took photos on two of the days:

Kittery Point, ME
One afternoon, Joey and I drove to Kittery Point, ME. It was our first time in NH and ME, and Joey's first time in the Atlantic Ocean (or any Ocean for that matter). Here are some photos at Kittery Point:

Martha's Vineyard, MA
On our last day in New England, we decided to visit a high school teacher that had retired and moved to Martha's Vineyard. We took the ferry from Wood's Hole, MA to Martha's Vineyard. I say we took the ferry, but we literally just took the boat ride, the van stayed in Wood's Hole. We visited with the teacher, who gave us a nice tour of the area including one of the many beaches. We then took the ferry back to mainland and drove all the way down to NJ. Here are some photos from the ferry ride and from Martha's Vineyard.

Washington, DC
We took a very brief tour of Washington, DC, literally long enough to walk around the Washington Monument and get back on the metro.
Washington Nationals Game
After our brief tour of DC, we met up with Martha, Mercado and Suzi for a Washington Nationals game:
Westminster, MD
On Sunday, we headed up to just outside of Baltimore for a nice visit with my childhood neighbors Tim N., and Matt D. I saw them back in 2004, and before that it was 1999 and before that was when I moved away in 1995. After visiting with them, we rode over to Westminster to drive around in what was once my home town. I took a few photos of my old house as well as the Westminster SDA church:
