The city of Socorro, NM welcomes you.
In the center of town, they have a plaza. It's like Main Street in most towns, except there is a little park/gazebo area in the middle. They occaionally have festivals and such here. The bronze wheel has a piece from all of Socorro history, from the Spanish settlement, to the cranes, to the silver mining, to the NRAO are all represented in here.

The Socorro fire station is a neat place, also an adobe. It looks like an old building, yet note the soda machine and modern ambulance.
We found the Seventh Day Adventist church, where I will go to church. It's a neat building as well, offering both English and Spanish sermons.
